About Sertifikat RB: who we are, our team and our accredited laboratory
You are about to send product samples and money to a company on the other side of a border, in a country whose registers you cannot easily read, on the strength of a website. That is an uncomfortable position, and it is the reason this page exists. Everything below is checkable: the legal entity, the tax number, the accreditation certificate our laboratory works under, and the people who will handle your file.
Sertifikat RB LLC is a certification company based in Ufa, Russia. Sixteen people work here — certification specialists, a technical documentation department, a halal expert, and the laboratory staff who run the tests. Testing is done in our own accredited laboratory, the technical file is written in-house, and one specialist handles a file from the first enquiry through to registration of the document.
The team
These are the people who will work on your file. The photographs are of our actual staff in our actual office — worth saying, because stock photography on this kind of page is common enough to be worth ruling out.
First names only, because that is how Russian offices introduce their people and how the team asked to be listed. Full names, positions and signatures appear on the contract and on every document we issue, so you will have them in front of you before any money moves.
Who does what on your project
Three groups of people touch a typical export file.
- Certification specialists — seven of them. They establish the applicable technical regulation, the form of assessment and the scope of testing, and stay with the file to registration.
- The technical documentation department writes what the regulation requires in Russian: technical specifications, product passports, operating manuals, labels and EAC marking artwork. What the set has to contain is set by the regulation.
- The laboratory runs the tests and issues the reports the whole document rests on.
Two functions sit in separate roles. Halal certification is handled by a dedicated expert — meat, dairy, confectionery and cosmetics for Muslim markets. Delivery of originals on secure paper is handled by a separate manager.
How to verify us before you send anything
Four checks, all free, all possible from your desk. Do them on us, and do them on every other company quoting you — that comparison is usually more informative than the quotes themselves.
- The company exists. Sertifikat RB LLC, tax number (INN) 0276934618. Any Russian company register will return the registration date, the director and the registered address from that number. The same entity signs your contract, and a mismatch between the company on a website and the company on a contract is the oldest warning sign there is.
- The laboratory is accredited. Testing is performed under accreditation certificate RA.RU.11NK91, held by UFASERT LLC, our laboratory. The accreditation, its scope and its status are public at pub.fsa.gov.ru, the register of the Federal Accreditation Service. The scope matters as much as the certificate itself: it lists which tests the laboratory is actually entitled to perform.
- The document you are buying will exist. Every valid EAC certificate and registered declaration appears in that same public register with its own number. Ask any supplier for the number of a document they have issued, and look it up. If it is not there, the paper is worthless whatever it looks like — and the customs officer checks the same register you do.
- The address is a real office. 63/4 Rikharda Zorge St., Ufa, Republic of Bashkortostan, 450075. Look at it on a map, or come and see it — Ufa is a straightforward trip via Moscow, and visitors are welcome.
If a company cannot give you a tax number, an accreditation certificate and a registered document number, that is your answer, and no price is low enough to compensate.
Our own testing laboratory
No conformity document is registered without a test report from an accredited laboratory. Some companies in this field subcontract that step; here it is done in-house, under accreditation certificate RA.RU.11NK91.
In practice that works out as follows. It is visible in advance whether a sample is likely to fail, and what to change in it. When something does fail, the measured value and the required value come back the same day, and the engineer who ran the test can explain the cause — a fastener, a material, a wiring detail. Most failures are fixable, and the corrected sample goes back for retesting. And when a standard is ambiguous, which happens constantly with Soviet-era GOSTs applied to modern products, the test programme is designed here rather than negotiated with a subcontractor.
One part of the chain is not ours, and cannot be: certificates of conformity are issued by an accredited certification body, because no company is permitted to issue certificates to its own clients. We prepare the file, submit it and see the registration through, but the issuing body is independent by law — which is the point of the system. Declarations we register directly. Nothing in between gets quietly resold to a stranger.
Where we are, and why the time zone helps
Ufa is in the Republic of Bashkortostan, about 1,300 km east of Moscow, on UTC+5. That position is genuinely convenient for an exporter: our working day, 09:00–18:00, is 12:00–21:00 in Beijing and 06:00–15:00 in Berlin. A Chinese manufacturer gets most of an afternoon overlapping with us, a European one gets the whole morning, and compared with dealing with Moscow a Chinese client gains two hours of shared working time.
Correspondence is in English, and you may write in Chinese. Everything except the physical sample is handled remotely. Where a foreign manufacturer has no importer in Russia, the applicant can instead be an authorized representative registered in the union — a role this company also performs. A document registered in Russia is equally valid in Kazakhstan, Belarus, Armenia and Kyrgyzstan.
